Leading eSport games played in Hungary 2022

 eSports content consumption during COIVD-19

The results of a survey conducted in 2020 revealed that 25 percent of respondents had increased their eSport content consumption since restrictive measures were introduced in Hungary because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Even though interest in eSports content increased during this period, only 15 percent of Hungarians were willing to spend more on eSports than they had before the pandemic, while 14 percent of survey participants were less willing to spend on their hobby.

 Twitch streamers

Twitch is a video streaming service with a main focus on video game live streaming. The most popular Hungarian Twitch channel in 2022 belonged to WeAreTheVR, counting 519 thousand followers, as KriszhAdvice ranked second with 351 thousand followers. WeAreTheVR was not only the most followed channel on Twitch but it also had over 700 thousand subscribers on YouTube.
