Brazil: electricity generation distribution 2018, by source

In 2018, hydropower was by far the main source for electricity generation in Brazil, accounting for almost 65 percent of the total production that year. Other renewable sources like biomass and wind represented 8.6 and 8.1 percent of total production, respectively. That year, the electricity generation in the country added up to 588 terawatt-hours.
