Fruit wine domestic shipping volume in Japan FY 2012-2021
In fiscal years 2021, the domestic shipment volume of fruit wine in Japan amounted to around 112 thousand kiloliters. While the Japanese alcoholic beverages industry produces fruit wine in over 400 wineries for the domestic market, the majority of distributed products are imported from overseas. According to taxation laws, fruit wine refers to fermented liquors made from fruits, including wine made from grapes as well as cider made from apples.
