
People treated for HIV/AIDS in Brazil 2010-2021
Antiretroviral therapy (ART) is a type of medical treatment used to restrict the development of a targeted virus and treat viral infections. This therapy, which involves drugs combination, is widely used in the management of HIV/AIDS disease. In 2021, approximately 695,000 people living with HIV received treatment with antiretroviral drugs in Brazil. This figure equals around 73 percent of the
