Number of public newspapers in Egypt 2007-2019
As of 2019, around 67 public newspapers existed in Egypt. Compared to the preceding year, this was a drop compared to 70 public newspapers. During the period under review, the number of public newspapers in Egypt first followed an increasing trend since 2007 and until 2010, before declining from 2011 onwards.
