Share of people who think things are going in the right direction by party U.S. 2020

During a survey conducted in August 2020, 78 percent of Independents believed that the country is headed in the wrong direction, compared to 42 percent of Republicans and 91 percent of Democrats. 46 percent of Republicans reported that the country is headed in the right direction.
