Kidney transplants in Mexico 2007-2022
In 2022, the number of kidney transplants performed in Mexico amounted to around 2.71 thousand interventions, up from about 1.98 thousand transplants completed in the previous year. The sudden drop in kidney procedures occurred along with the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. That same year, more than 15 thousand patients were waiting for a kidney transplant in the North American country.
