Lung transplants in Brazil 2013-2022
In 2022, the number of lung transplants in Brazil amounted to 106 interventions, up from the 83 lung procedures reported a year earlier. Although the figures fluctuated throughout the period, lung transplants increased without interruptions since 2020, when Brazil registered 65 lung procedures. Moreover, about 247 people were waiting for a lung transplant in the South American country in 2021.
