This statistic displays the levels of greenhouse gas emissions emitted by different sectors in Germany from 1990 to 2017. It shows that whilst greenhouse gas emissions are still the highest in the energy sector, they have decreased over the past three decades. Despite a noticeable decrease in the emissions from the transport sector between the years 2000 and 2010, emissions began to increase from the year 2015, and amounted to 168 million metric tons of CO2 equivalents in 2017.
