The cancer type with the highest prevalence rate in Latin America in 2020 was prostate cancer, with 220.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. This was followed by breast cancer and colorectum cancer, with prevalence rates of 213.7 and 52.9, respectably. That year, prostate cancer and breast cancer were also the two cancer types with the highest death rates in the region.
