Number of bankruptcies of restaurants and cafes in Norway 2016-2020
The number of restaurants and cafes in Norway that went bankrupt fluctuated between the first quarter of 2016 and the fourth quarter of 2020. During this period, the most number of bankrupt of restaurants and cafes was recorded in the second quarter of 2020, with 118 bankruptcies, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. This figure dropped in the succeeding quarter and by the fourth quarter of the year, 63 bankruptcies were reported.
