Mexico: number of stationers prior to and post-COVID-19 2020

The stationery market in Mexico was also impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Between March and July, approximately eight thousand of these shops in the North American country had to close for good. Prior the global health crisis, around 120 thousand stationery stores were operating in Mexico. The sales of school supplies during the back-to-school season in Mexico in 2020 was projected to decrease by 25 percent in relation to the previous year.
