This statistic shows the distribution of commercial vehicles according to the European emission standards in the Central Italian city Rome in 2017, broken down by type. According to data, only seven percent of commercial vehicles in Rome belonged to the group of Euro 6 vehicles, whereas 22 percent, the largest share, were classified as Euro 4.

*The European emission standards define emission limits for vehicles. The most stringent one, the Euro 6 standards, were introduced for light vehicles in September 2014. Since 2015, all newly introduced models in Europe had to comply with them. By contrast, Euro 0 vehicles are not subject to any emission requirements and are the most polluting category.
