Carbohydrate source breakdown of the Japanese people 2017, by age group
This statistic depicts the results of a survey conducted in November 2017 about the distribution of carbohydrate sources in Japan, broken down by age group. During the surveyed period, grains represented the major carbohydrate source of the Japanese population. According to the survey, respondents aged 20 to 29 year covered over 67 percent of their carbohydrate supplies by consuming grain products, while fruits contributed only 3.7 percent to the carbohydrate intake.
