Statista spotlight report on corporate IT spending in Europe by company size
This Statista report looks at IT spendings of companies headquartered in the five largest European economies: the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Already before the COVID-19 pandemic, investments in IT were a key factor for companies of all sizes. They became of even higher importance in the last three years, as effective digital solutions both for their respective workforces and customers often determined a business' survival on the market. In 2021, for instance, 150 billion U.S. dollars were spent in IT assets in the United Kingdom and over 130 billion U.S. dollars in Germany.
But how do large companies differ from smaller companies in their investments, and on which categories of IT assets do companies of different sizes invest more resources?
This report presents insights on overall investments in four categories of IT assets (public cloud, software, hardware, and IT services) having its focus on comparing how much the average company spends in each of these categories, by size and country, with forecasts to 2024.
