Statistics report on non-performing loans in Europe
This report provides insight into the non-performing loans (NPLs) in Europe. After showing some key indicators necessary to understand the size of NPLs on the continent, the following chapters present the evolution of the NPL to gross loans ratio on a country-by-country basis. The final chapter of this study focuses on the distribution of the assets of the largest European banks according to their exposure to credit loss according to the credit-impairment stages defined by the international standard IFRS 9.
