This report presents a selection of tables and figures about mental health issues in Italy. It provides an overview of the prevalence of the most common mental disorders, broken down by gender. Generally, mental disorders are more widespread among females than among males, with some illness-specific exceptions. Schizophrenia, for instance, is the mental disease with the highest incidence among male patients. This report also includes some information about mental health treatment, as well as a few figures on healthcare facilities and resources. The final chapter focuses on the impact of COVID-19 on mental health.
