The Future of Work in Africa

The World Bank report notes that Sub-Saharan African countries have an opportunity to forge a different path from the rest of the world, when it comes to the adoption of digital technology. Therefore, supportive policies and investments are needed to put lower-skilled and lower-educated workers in a position to benefit from digital technology adoption. The report provides several fundamental public policy recommendations to make it possible to take advantage of this adoption.
