Development of broadband access in the U.S. 2011

The broadband technology opportunities program focuses on the National Telecommunications andInformation Administration (NTIA) broadbrand program’s activities in the fiscal year 2011. This quarterly report contains the increase of broadband access and adoption; development in broadband training and support to schools, libraries, healthcare providers, and other organizations; improve broadband access to public safety agencies; and take a look on the demand for broadband. The report also provided funding for NTIA to develop and maintain a comprehensive nationwide map of broadband service capability and availability, and to implement the State Broadband Data and Development Act and the Broadband Data Improvement Act.
