86% of smartphone owners used their phone in the past month to make real-time queries to help them meet friends, solve problems, or settle arguments

Complied by the Pew Internet & American Life Project, this study examines the use of just-in-time information gathering on among adults smartphone users in the United States. The paper highlights the role of of mobile internet on smartphones as well as various activities that evidence the just-in-time phenomenon.
