Sexual crimes in U.S. prisons in 2008

This report details the findings of the first ever National Former Prisoner Survey (NFPS) which was conducted in the United States between January 2008 and October 2008. Altogether 317 parole officers from 40 states were surveyed and a total of 17,738 former state prisoners were also randomly selected to take part. Former prisoners were specifically surveyed about incidences of sexual victimization during their time in prison.
