In recent years, Unieuro’s revenue has increased steadily, reaching almost three billion euros in their 2022 financial year, and recording a growth of around ten percent compared to the previous year. Their products can be categorized as follows: gray (telephone systems, computers, and photos), white (large and small appliances), brown (consumer electronics and media storage), services (e.g., delivery and installation, extended warranties and consumer financing), and other products (consoles, video games, bicycles). Gray products are the most profitable for the company, accounting for almost 46 percent of its total revenue, and followed by white goods. The retailer operates across several channels. Despite Unieuro’s online sales have recently increased, amounting to over 530 million euros in the 2022 financial year, traditional retail is still the most popular channel among consumers, generating around two billion euros in the same year. Such popularity might also be due to the large number of retail stores that Unieuro manages, which counts over 540 stores in Italy as of 2022.Unieuro faces strong competition
In the Italian retail and e-commerce industries, Unieuro competes with other popular consumer electronics and home appliance retailers. For instance, Unieuro faces the likes of Mediaworld, the leading CE retailer in Italy, and Euronics. As of April 2022, Mediaworld recorded over five million unique monthly visits on its e-commerce site, while Unieuro counted almost four million in the same month.
