International tradeThe main supplier of Christmas decorations in 2021 was China, by a massive margin. In fact, almost all Christmas decorations supplied globally were made by China. The same is true for Christmas tree light exports, although Cambodia also made a decent contribution. Predictably, the main importers of these products were largely Christian countries, with the U.S leading the way. The United Kingdom, Canada, and Germany were all big importers as well.
Within Europe, the Nordic countries play an important role in the production and export of Christmas trees. Denmark sent their trees all around the continent in 2021. Germany had a particularly large share of Danish Christmas tree exports.
