Definition Linear model
The linear model is a mathematical model that attempts to translate natural phenomena into comprehensible and recurring parameters. A prerequisite for the application of a linear model (e.g., in regression analysis) is that there is a linear interdependence between at least one independent and one dependent variable.
Examples: If body height increases, body weight will increase as well.
