Most popular news topics for journalists in Sweden 2018, by gender
In Sweden in 2018, female and male journalists nearly wrote about topics such as economy, social issues and science/technology to the same extent. However, a gendered pattern appeared when it came to other news topics. During the mentioned year, 82 percent of news topics on sports was covered by male journalists. In contrast, women were responsible for 60 percent of the news coverage on entertainment.
