Perception of freedom of speech contributing to happiness in Japan 2019
The majority of Japanese respondents, about 52 percent, stated that the freedom to express their beliefs contributes to some extend to their personal happiness, according to a survey conducted in June 2019 by Ipsos on happiness. Among 28 countries in the survey, Japan showed the lowest share of respondents claiming to gain the greatest happiness from expressing their beliefs freely.
