The majority of Japanese respondents, about 52 percent, stated that the freedom to express their beliefs contributes to some extend to their personal happiness, according to a survey conducted in June 2019 by Opinion on freedom to express one's beliefs as source of personal happiness among people in Japan as of June 2019
