YouTube as a go-to streaming platform among Vietnamese people
As many streaming service users in Vietnam still preferred using a free platform instead of paying for an ad-free experience, YouTube has been the top-of-mind platform when it comes to streaming, whether it is music, movies, or short video streaming. Over 60 percent of adult viewers in the country reported watching YouTube content for at least an hour per day. Meanwhile, paid on-demand platforms have been on the rise among the youngest generation of internet users.
