Fatalities in U.S. road traffic by driver BAC in the crash 2020
In 2020, out of the 38,824 fatalities in general, the blood alcohol concentration (BAC) in 30 percent of the drivers involved in the fatal crashes was found to be higher than 0.08. About five percent had BAC between 0.01 to 0.07, however the remaining majority had BAC of 0.00 percent, with one percent (91 fatalities) of unknown.
