Worldwide breakdown of consumer goods' retail out-of-stock value 2020
The pandemic induced consumers to buy more grocery products than before. In 2020, grocery products made up 45.5 percent of the global out-of-stock value registered in retail. It is estimated that perishable foods accounted for 38.9 percent of the total value of products going out-of-stock in the retail sector over the year in consideration.
