U.S. priority tasks for false information detection AI on social media 2021, by PID
A November 2021 online survey conducted in the United States found that almost 70 percent of respondents when asked about the priorities of false information finding algorithms, said that accurate decisions were of higher priority than quick decisions, even if this meant that some false information remained on site for a longer period. Additionally, 38 percent of Democratic respondents felt that quick decisions were of higher priority than accurate decisions, even if some accurate information was accidentally removed. Overall, almost 80 percent of Republican respondents said that accuracy was more important than speed.
