Import value of the space industry South Korea 2011-2021
In 2021, the space industry in South Korea recorded an import value of around 230 billion South Korean won. This was a decrease from the previous year. Since 2013, GPS navigation and satellite receivers were added as space industry sub-categories, which led to a large increase in the figures. With the successful launch of the Nuri rocket (also known as KSLV-II) in 2022, South Korea became the seventh country in the world that was able to put in orbit a satellite that weighs over one metric ton.
