Sick leave cases due to mental illness in Germany 1997-2022, by gender
In 2022, around eight percent of people in Germany took sick leave due to mental health problems. This was an descrease from the year before, which saw the highest figure was since 1997. On average there were more instances of women taking time off work due to mental health problems than men in 2022, and this continues a trend that has been around for the past years.
