Leading cruise destinations for European passengers 2019-2022
The Central and Western Mediterranean was the main destination for cruise passengers sourced from Europe in 2022, with roughly two million passengers. While this figure denotes a sharp annual increase in the passenger volume, it remained below the number reported prior to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Meanwhile, Northern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean followed on the ranking in 2022, welcoming around 1.4 million and 838 thousand cruise passengers.
