Total cargo handling capacity at major ports across India FY 2013-2022
The total cargo handling capacity at major ports across India was close to 1.6 billion metric tons in the fiscal year 2022, a slight increase in comparison with previous year. There had been a constant increase in the cargo handling capacity of the major ports during the observed time. Since fiscal year 2017, the central government spent over 130 billion Indian rupees for the upgradation of major ports.
