attention paid by the French to the local or regional origin of the products they consume, it seems relevant to examine the offer of Made in France products available in major retailers. According to the results of the study carried out by the FIMIF (Fédération Indépendante du Made in France), less than one product out of three (31 percent) available in the main French retailers was Made in France in 2017. Among the distributors making some effort were Intermarché, Carrefour, Auchan and Super U, whose French offer varied between 38 percent (Super U) and 54 percent (Intermarché). Lidl was the retailer offering the lowest amount of Made in France products (17 percent).
