Self-perceived long-term limitations are common among Europeans aged 65 and over, however, significant country differences exist. In 2019, the share of people aged 65+ with self-perceived long-standing limitations in usual activities due to health problems reached 51.7 percent in Latvia, way above the European Union (28) average of 32.2 percent. On the other hand, elderly people in Iceland, Norway, and Sweden were the Europeans with the lowest tendency to report self-perceived activity limitations.
