Out of the 30 selected European countries in the list, France was the one with the largest volume of loans and advances to households as of December 2022, amounting to roughly two trillion euros. In the second place, household loans in Spain reached 1.2 trillion euros that same year. The Netherlands is the third country with the highest volume of loans, which were worth 780 billion euros that same year.
