Share of cyber attack victims in Italy 2023, by category
During the first half of 2023, the number of cyber attacks to multiple targets made up approximately 20 percent of the total incidents in the country. The healthcare sector was targeted by 14.5 percent of cyber attacks. Cyber attacks to the government, the military, and law enforcement agencies made up almost 12 percent of the total, while attacks to the ICT sector coming to represent 11.4 percent of the total for the year.
