Federal budget income and spending in Russia 2014-2025
The income of Russia's federal budget reached 25.3 trillion Russian rubles in 2021, which was approximately 500 billion Russian rubles above its expenditure. In other words, Russia achieved a budget surplus in that year. Over the course of 2021, a budget surplus was recorded in the first three quarters of 2021, while the last quarter of the year saw a deficit. According to the budget project for 2023 to 2025, Russia's federal budget spending was to increase to over 29 trillion Russian rubles in 2025.
