Number of passengers at Kusadasi port 2004-2021
The total number of passengers recorded at the port of Kusadasi fluctuated considerably from 2004 to 2021. Between 2004 and 2011, the Turkish city had seen a steady increase in the volume of cruise tourism and reached the pinnacle at 662,792 passengers in 2011. Afterward, the number of tourists arriving at the port significantly dropped below the 2011 level. In 2021, some 8,611 travelers arrived in the Kusadasi port, a significant increase compared to the previous year when Kusadasi port hosted the lowest number of passengers due to the coronavirus pandemic in the given period. Kusadasi is located in western Turkey, next to the Eagen Sea. The city is a popular destination for both local and foreign tourists since it has a marina and a port for cruise ships.
