According to a three-year survey, United States respondents without access to a banking account declined notably for the poorest segment between 2011 and 2021. The difference between this particular group of so-called "unbanked" respondents - or those who did not access to the services of a bank or another, similar financial organization - was nearly 11 percentage points by 2021, a notable decrease compared to the country's more rich counterparts. The report adds that men in the United States were more likely than men to be financially excluded from services like ATM machines, credit cards, or financial products like insurance or mortgages.
