Gen Z consumers who bought an item on social media worldwide 2022, by country
In the fourth quarter of 2022, the United States experienced a notable increase in the proportion of Gen Z shoppers who made direct product purchases through social media. Three-fourths of the respondents in the country engaged in purchases through these platforms. Australia secured the second spot with a 64 percent share, closely followed by the United Kingdom at 60 percent. Among the countries examined, Austria had the smallest percentage of Gen Z social media shoppers during that period, accounting for 29 percent.
