Images showcasing a product in active use were the most desired information during product research in online stores among Japanese online shoppers, according to a survey conducted in March 2022. Almost 40 percent of respondents wished for images showing a product in use apart from general product information when browsing through e-commerce sites. Showcases of products in video format, however, were desired by only 26.2 percent.
