Number of employed in plumbing and HVAC installation in Europe 2020, by country

In 2020, Germany was by far the EU country with the highest number of people employed in the plumbing, heat, and air-conditioning segment. In France, there were roughly 231,560 workers in that segment of the construction industry. Italy, Spain, and Poland had between 100,000 and 200,000 employees in that activity each. Italy was by far the EU country with the most plumbing and HVAC installation companies, even though it had far fewer employees active in that segment than Germany. That would suggest that Italian companies are small and have a lower number of employees.
