Shoppers using social media for purchases worldwide 2023, by age group
According to a 2023 survey, consumers between 18 and 34 years old were the most actively engaging in social media purchases worldwide, with nearly three-quarters of respondents in this age bracket having made a purchase through this channel. Conversely, consumers aged 65 and above were the least inclined to make purchases via social media channels, with approximately 25 percent doing so.
