Total revenue of banks GCC Q3 2021-Q3 2023, by income type
As of quarter three of 2023, the total revenue of banks in the Gulf Cooperation Council reached 30.7 billion U.S. dollars. Since the third quarter of 2021, total revenue has continued to increase each subsequent quarter. Although both net interest income, and non-interest income both increased during this period, they both witnessed occasions of decline. For example, net interest income saw marginal drops in the fourth quarter of 2021, and the first quarter of 2023. On the other hand, non-interest income recorded a decline in revenue in the second, and third quarter of 2022.
