According to the survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in January 2024, 67 percent of the respondents in Malaysia found electric cars to be too expensive to purchase. In comparison, 37 percent of the respondents in Hong Kong found electric cars to be too expensive to purchase as of January 2024.
