ATM number in Belgium 2000-2022
Payments that don't use cash money have become increasingly important throughout the European Union, as is also the case for Belgium. This is represented in the total number of ATMs (automated teller machines) in Belgium from 2009 to 2019. Overall the number of ATMs decreased with some fluctuation during the period under observation from 15.3 thousand in 2009 to approximately 8.8 thousand in 2019. In contrast, the number of POS terminals in Belgium has drastically risen between 2014-2019.
