From August 2021, the inflation rate in Sweden increased. Especially 2022 saw an increase in the consumer price index (CPI) compared to the corresponding months one year before. Both the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian war in Ukraine have driven inflation in the world in recent months. In March 2024, the inflation rate in Sweden reached 4.1 percent.
