Number of passengers at airports in Sweden 2011-2022
In the period of consideration, passenger traffic at Swedish airports increased gradually until 2019, when the figures dropped by four percent. The coronavirus pandemic exacerbated this downturned. Due to border closures and stay-at-home requirements, air passengers in the airports have decreased significantly in the following two years. As of 2022, passenger traffic started increasing again, amounting to 27.6 million.
